LITHONIA HOMESCHOOL GROUP SCHOLARS
We don't just lecture. We speak your child's language, using their interests and learning style to make complex concepts finally make sense. Desks are an option, not a mandate. Students learn from cozy couches, loveseats, or even outdoor benches. Movement and comfort fuel their focus. We believe play is essential. Every single day includes time for unstructured play, because a refreshed mind is a ready-to-learn mind. With a maximum of 15 students, every child receives the individual guidance and mentorship they need to truly excel.
At Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars, we know that a one-size-fits-all education rarely fits anyone. That’s why we’ve created something different—a learning environment that feels as natural and nurturing as home, but with teaching that is anything but "the same old thing."
Our approach is simple yet transformative: We teach so that students understand. Our educators are masters at "translating" curriculum into the unique language of each child. We connect lessons to their passions, explain concepts in ways that resonate, and patiently guide them until that magical "aha!" moment happens.

A School That Understands Your Child, Not Just Teaches Them
With a maximum of 15 students, our learning environment is designed for depth, not breadth. This allows our educators to provide unparalleled individual attention and tailor instruction to each student's unique strengths and needs.
At Lithonia Scholars, we understand that every young mind needs room to breathe. Beyond our collaborative projects and lively discussions, we intentionally provide private time and personal space for students to dive deep into assignments or simply enjoy a moment of quiet free time. This balance is essential for fostering both intellectual focus and personal well-being.
At Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars, your child's safety and holistic development are our highest priority. That's why every student, as part of our curriculum, earns their very own CPR & First Aid certification.
Where Laughter is Part of the Lesson Plan.
At LHGS, we believe breaks are essential for a refreshed and ready mind. We love stepping back to see our students naturally connect, sharing inside jokes and building their own unique community. Witnessing their genuine interactions and hearing their laughter fill the space is a reminder that some of the most important learning—the learning of friendship and social bonds—happens organically when kids are given the freedom to just be kids.
2013-2014 LHGS Students
At our homeschool, the world is our classroom. Lessons come to life in the sunshine, and lunch is served with a side of fresh air. We know that a change of scenery does more than just refresh—it ignites a passion for learning in a way that a desk alone never could.
Education doesn't exist in a vacuum.
Meet Davian ( to the left ). "Choosing LHGS means joining a community. We see ourselves as your partners, and our role doesn't end when the school day does. We are here to offer our experience and support, not just on academic matters, but on the wider journey of parenting. Have a concern about study habits, motivation, or friendships? Let's talk. We believe that by mentoring the whole child and supporting the whole family, we create the ideal environment for lasting success."
Meet Jailore ( to the left ) When Jailore joined our homeschool, her mother had a clear mission: focus intensely on tailoring her daughter's academic path in math and reading. We were proud to partner with her family on this journey through our customized "Brilliant Path" program.
We dedicated ourselves to this tailored approach, strengthening Jailore's core skills with precision and care. After two years with us, she transitioned back into the traditional school system with confidence.
The results spoke volumes. After just two weeks, her new teacher contacted her mother on a private line. The message was clear: Jailore was so academically advanced that she was no longer being challenged. The teacher explicitly recommended finding a school that could keep up with her accelerated pace.
Jailore's story is a perfect example of how we prepare students for a seamless and successful return to any school environment—often placing them significantly ahead of the curve.
Meet Kenzo ( to the left ) Kenzo's journey with LHGS began in 4th grade within our "Brilliant Path" program. After building a strong academic foundation through middle school, he seamlessly transitioned to high school, where his achievements earned him a coveted spot in the school's Magnet Program for high achievers. We are proud to have been part of his educational foundation and celebrate his continued success.
Meet Myra ( to the left ) MYRA's potential was clear from her very first year with us in the 4th grade. Her performance was so outstanding that we accelerated her learning path, moving her directly to the 6th grade!
After a stellar year with us, she transitioned back to her local school, where the foundation she built wiyh us continues to serve her well. We've just heard she is absolutely thriving as an 8th grader!
Congratulations, MYRA! Your hard work and brilliance continue to shine.
Meet Brooklyn ( to the left ) While excelling in her studies with us, Brooklyn also embraced every opportunity to get involved in her community. She was a cheerleader for the local middle school AND took acting classes, truly doing it all!
Her success is a perfect example of how homeschool students get the best of both worlds: a personalized education and the chance to participate in local school extracurriculars.
Way to go, Brooklyn! Your passion and drive are an inspiration! 👏
At Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars, a lesson on percentages isn't confined to a textbook. It ends with a field trip to a local restaurant, where our students calculate the tip on a real bill. This is learning you can taste, touch, and apply in the real world.
At Lithonia Scholars, We Don't Just Teach Grade Levels—We Unlock Potential………………………………………………
Meet Ava ( to the left ), our pioneering first grader. In just two years at our homeschool, Ava's gifted mind was so nurtured and challenged that she skipped a grade entirely.
Her parents enrolled her in a prestigious magnet school, confident she was ahead. The result? After just one week, the magnet school officials called. Ava was so advanced, they asked to skip her again.
This is the Lithonia Scholars difference. Our young learners aren't held back by a standardized pace. They are exposed to higher-level instruction in our small, collaborative environment, allowing their true intellect to flourish.
Meet Ronnie ( to the left ). Ronnie's story is a testament to the lifelong love of learning we foster at Lithonia Homeschool Group Scholars. From his time with us as an 8th grader, Ronnie was a shining example of curiosity and kindness. He wasn't just an avid reader and learner; he was a mentor and the perfect, supportive classmate to his younger peers, embodying the collaborative spirit of our small community.
After graduating from our homeschool in 2023, Ronnie took his well-honed passion for learning to Middle Georgia State University. The transition was seamless, and his success was immediate.
We are incredibly proud to share that Ronnie has not only thrived in his university environment but has excelled academically, making the Dean's List both his freshman and sophomore years.
Ronnie's journey from our cozy couches to collegiate excellence shows that a Lithonia Scholars education isn't just about grades—it's about building the foundational skills, discipline, and intellectual curiosity that lead to lasting success.
At Lithonia Scholars, we don't just talk about college—we bring it to life. Each year, our students get a thrilling, firsthand look at their future during our annual trip to the Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University Homecoming.

Movies and Lunch
Nurturing Mind, Body, and Friendship.
At LHGS, education extends beyond the classroom. We believe in a balanced approach that includes physical health and building a genuine community. Our field trips might include a refreshing stroll on the Atlanta BeltLine, followed by a shared, healthy lunch at Ponce City Market. These moments of exercise, nourishment, and connection reinforce a simple but powerful truth: We care for our bodies, we fuel our minds, and we truly love and support one another.
